Abstract

In an alternating discourse the two authors (one from translation studies, theother from adaptation studies) reflect on common issues the two disciplines aredealing with. As such they also deal with the question of the parallels, commongrounds, differences and boundaries between the disciplines. Other topics dealtwith include the relationship between the practices and the scholarly disciplines,the issues of originality and transmediality, the problematic and relativizedrelationship source-target, as well as the essential topic of conservation andgradual change.
