Abstract

A big challenge of Translation quality assessment (TQA) is how to quantify improvement of novice learners in terms of information transfer. We try to use an information unit as an evaluation tool which allows us to measure information transfer by the percentage of units we can identify in the target language. This tool may be complemented with introspection investigation in order to make a relevant diagnosis in students’ performance.
