Abstract

SUMMARYDarmstadt, Hessisches Landes- und Hochschulbibliothek MS 3303 (France, s. ix) is known primarily for the fragment it contains of the original version of the Satisfactio of Dracontius. The same four folios also contain two unidentified grammatical fragments: on 4rv a summary of schemata extracted from Cassiodorus's commentary on the psalms, and on ff. l-2v the conclusion of Dynamius's Ars grammatica. These fragments of Dynamius are edited and analyzed, and the authorship, contents and date of composition of this grammar are considered. These new fragments make it possible to emend Angelo Mai's edition, which was based on the only manuscript hitherto known, Bibliotheca Apostolica Vaticana, Pal.
