Development of Research Work at SSLM, Trieste

Abstract: The paper starts with a description of the historical evolution which led the SSLM to initiate interpretation research. It then describes research activities done within the School, and outlines the advantages for the students of such an endeavor as conducted in partial fulfillment of graduation requirements.Résumé: L''article commence par un historique de l'école et de son cheminement vers la recherche en interprétation. Puis il décrit la recherche telle qu 'elle s'y déploie, et souligne les avantages pour les étudiants de ce type d'effort dans le cadre de leur étude de l'interprétation et de la préparation de leur diplôme.
