Abstract
The author elaborates two theses:1. the participation of adults in the regular final examinations for foreign languages causes a dilemma if a population is to be chosen on which to base the norms2. the participation of adults in the regular final examinations for foreign languages may influence the construct validity in view of their increased "knowledge of the world"
