Aspects offer a fast and contemporary alternative to publish cutting-edge research in a wide variety of areas in Linguistics and related fields. They present original, insightful subjects with a focus on emerging topics. More compact than a monograph, less limited than a regular journal article, Aspects offer authors a new way of publishing their work. Aspects are peer-reviewed under the aegis of existing book series with John Benjamins. The books are between 65 and 80 typeset pages long and are made available online and in print.
Aspects in Corpus Linguistics focuses on the use of corpora throughout language study, the development of a quantitative approach to linguistics, the design and use of new tools for processing language texts, and the theoretical implications of a data-rich discipline. Aspects in Corpus Linguistics features on all aspects of Corpus Linguistics, including: Innovations in corpus tools and corpus-analytic methods; Linguistic analyses of corpora providing new insights into language use (for example across languages, language varieties, registers, time periods); Applications of corpus research in a wide range of areas within and outside of linguistics (including but not limited to language learning and teaching, language assessment, lexicography, stylistics, discourse analysis, legal interpretation); Corpus research vis-à-vis linguistic theories; Corpus linguistics and artificial intelligence.
